WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY - PRIMARY WING

The World Environment Day is commemorated every year across the world on 5th of June. It is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. World Environment Day is the "people's day" for doing something to take care of the Earth. That "something" can be local, national or global. The theme for World Environment Day for the year 2020 is - 'It's Time for Nature- Biodiversity'.

The Environment Day was ardently celebrated at DPS, Sharjah, as we believe that even the smallest action can make the biggest difference. A plethora of innovative and exciting activities were organized for the students. The students of all grades saw interesting and informative videos and learnt a song on biodiversity. They were actively engaged in making posters, writing poems, etc. They understood and discussed the importance of biodiversity and enthusiastically shared their thoughts on the same.
