Environment Day 2019 was celebrated at DPS, Sharjah on Tuesday, 11th June 2019. Along with innovative and fun ways to raise environmental awareness among the students, various exiting inter-class activities were organized for the students of Grades 6-8.
The students of Grade 6 participated in a Inter-Class Group Singing Competion. 10-15 students from each class sang an environmental song on the topic “RAISING AWARENESS FOR MOTHER EARTH”. Mr.Hithesh and Ms.Kamod were the judges for this activity.
The students of Grade 7 made Posters and Banners on the topic “AIR POLLUTION” which was this year’s environment day theme. The students have showcased their enthusiasm to help reduce air pollution through this activity. Ms.Anu Bali and Ms.Tajinder were the judges for this activity.
The students of Grade 8 made “TEACHING AIDS” using reusable resources like CD’s, Bottle caps and Cartons. These aids will be given to the rural school children in various parts in India. Students have displayed their creativity and willingness to help others during this activity. Ms.Seema and Ms.Meenu were the judges for this activity.
Taking care of the earth is an indispensable part of every day’s learning at DPS Sharjah.
