Eco - Lution APP!

What do you mean by Eco-Lution ? Well this is a word which is self created . The word Eco – Lution means the evolution of technology for the use of saving , conserving and protecting the environment . Thus , this has been kept as our project title owing to the main concept of the word .


What is the project about ? The name of the project itself explains that it involves the use of modern technology for the conservation of the environment . Our school is a Eco-friendly one which supports the recycling and reusing of recyclable materials as well as the reduction of the use of non-recyclables . Thus , our project consists the use of a self developed “App” . This app is developed specially for use by the Eco Committee of our school .


Description of the project:

The app will help the committee to keep track of the contributions made by every individual , classes and the overall grade . The app will offer them the advantage to enter the contributions made by each person towards the environment . Further , it will provide an option where they can find how many children have contributed from a particular class or how much has a particular person contributed and what . It will also provide them to find which class and person has contributed the most .


What is the purpose of the project ?

The main idea behind the project is to show how technology can not only be used in a way that may be harmful for us , but in a way that helps us save something . We believe that the combination of environment and technology will turn out to be a great one which will inspire each one of us to use the opportunity of having technology in such a way that helps in the betterment of our lives . Also , the app will help the committee reduce the usage of paper and time for such things . It will also help them organize their things much more effectively and easily . We hope that we will be able to complete it and implement it as soon as possible .


INSTRUCTIONS:

(kindly take care of the following instructions especially the ones in green font color)

1 . ENTERING RECORDS :-

  • Once you have deposited your material in the school , go to the app and reach to the index page .

  • You will find an “ enter records ” button .

  • Click the corresponding button there and enter the details.

  • Submit the record

  • You will be confirmed that the app has recorded the data from the message that will appear on the left top corner as “ record updated ” .

  • Make sure that all the data you will enter should be in one case that is the UPPERCASE (CAPITAL LETTERS)

  • While writing your class do not keep a space in between the two characters . Write it in the format of “ classsection ” . Example : “ 9d ” .

  • Kindly take care of the above instructions to make sure that each and every of your contribution is counted

2 . UPDATING RECORDS :-

  • If you have already made a contribution in a particular field but want to add more to it click onto the find and replace button on the index .

  • Once reaching the corresponding page click update records .

  • Enter the correct information into the prompt boxes that will appear .

  • Make sure that you enter everything in the same manner and format as you entered the records for the first time .

  • Do not change the case . Keep all in caps ( capital letters ) .

  • Enter the class and section without a space in between .

  • Enter your contribution category in the correct way . If the dropdown list while entering the records shows batteries then you must enter your category as batteries even if only one has been given . The same goes for all .

  • Only update your records when needed and actual contribution has been done .
