Based on Biodiversity and Future Sustainability, the 15th annual environmental drawing competition of the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) was conducted during the month of March 2021. The topics chosen made it sure to instil the concept of environmental sustainability into the young minds. The students from different schools participated with great enthusiasm and passion, creating magnificent art works.
It was a proud moment for DPS, Sharjah when Grade 3 student, Saketh Sooraj’s creation caught the attention of the judges. It was selected as one of the top drawings for the topic, ‘Your Vision of Biodiversity by 2030.’ The drawing was able to bring out the purpose and beauty of biodiversity and how it helps in uniting all of us as one. He said, “Through my drawing I was trying to convey a message that what simple steps we can adapt to protect our mother earth.
The event allowed young minds to explore within the depths of their minds. They were able to bring out their talents and joyful creativity for the rest of the world to see.
