Delhi Private School, Sharjah celebrated Arab Environment Day on October 14th. The students at Middle school were in forefront to demonstrate their eager and concern towards the environment through an array of activities.
Students of grade 6 created slogans, keeping up the spirit of the day. The sessions emerged very interactive and engaging with students' creative works displayed on screens. A video compiled of their creative works and contributions was played in classes.
Grade 7 students took their classmates and teachers on a virtual tour of their garden. Glimpses of the green patches within the limited confines of their homes, were so enriching to both our eyes and minds. Students were garrulous about their gardens which reflected their contentment in contributing towards going green. Their talks further enriched the audience about the benefits of having outdoor and indoor plants at home.
Students of grade 8 took up a higher level and held brief sessions in cohorts discussing on the critical issues that affect the planet and the constructive actions to be taken to protect The Earth. It was an amazing day to witness students holding meetings and presenting their views confidently.
Both online and onsite students were involved in their activities under the guidance of their respective Arabic teachers. A video presented by one of our students, Adel was indeed appreciative who explained the steps involved in growing coriander at a home garden and the benefits of the plant.
Students who joined in Zoom, Teaser or an onsite face to face class together created an impactful impression of the day. Zestfully did they participate in activities and conscientiously did they demonstrate their concern towards the environment. The Arabic Department ably led the students through the day's events and carved out a fruitful day for our students with a new learning experience.
