THE STARS ABOVE THE LAKE

WHAT A MEMORY THEY MAKE.

THE NIGHTINGALE SINGS,

WHAT JOY IT BRINGS.

THE DUE ON THE RED ROSE,

APPEARS WHILE I REPOSE.

THE GLITTERING RAINBOWS,

HAS ITS OWN SHOW.

THE STILL SPARKILING WATER,WHILE I ROW

ON WHICH THE LOTUS GROW .

ON THE VALLEYS WHERE GROW THE LILY,

MAKE ME GO SILLY.

CHERISH ALL OF THESE,

FROM HEAD TO KNEES.

WHEN SAD OR MAD,

THESE MEMORIES COME IN HAND.
