Guidelines On the occasion of World Environment Day, the school’s eco committee is organising a virtual film and photography competition for Grades 6 to 12.
Film-making competition:
The themes for this competition are:
The World Environment Day 2021 Official Theme: Ecosystem Restoration
The New Normal: Earth after the Pandemic
Any other relevant environmental theme
The film can be a maximum of 5 minutes long.
The film can be of any genre, like comedy, sci-fi, etc.
The film can be of 4 types: live action, documentary, stop-motion or animation.
The film must include content and language that is family-friendly and appropriate for all ages.
Acceptable formats: MPG, MP4, WMV or MOV.
Subtitles are not compulsory but preferred for films with dialogues.
Films must be in English only.
Any music, images and footage used must be the student’s creation. If the student is using any other source, he/she must check whether they have the permissions to use the items. Students must credit the necessary people and submit the links of the source of music at the time of submission WITHOUT FAIL.
25th May 2021 is the last date of submission.
E-certificates will be provided to all participants. Winners will receive special e-certificates.
Photography competition:
The themes for this competition are:
Flowers
Environment in your house / Neighbourhood
Wildlife
Sunrise/Sunsets
Ecosystems
UAEConnect - The nature in UAE
NOTE: NO PLAIN MOUNTAIN LANDSCAPES, NO CAGED ANIMALS
Photos must reflect any of the above themes.
They can be of any type: still-life, creative lighting, landscape, etc. The image can be black and white or colour.
Acceptable formats: JPEG, PNG.
The photo must be the student’s own creation. There must not be any watermark on the image.
Multiple photographs can be submitted per student.
Image processing is allowed but to a certain extent only.
25th May 2021 is the last date of submission.
E-certificates will be provided to all participants. Winners will receive special e-certificates.
Shortlisted entries from students in 11th and 12th will get a letter of recommendation in film making from the school.
